The Soul Weaver: Part 3

The package arrived yesterday and I spent all day drilling, putting together models, and applying the first layers of paint. In three weeks time I’m going to Sweden to attend the Battle of Lund, and I’m determined to bring Deneghra3.

Feral Warp Wolf for size comparison… jesus!

The wings are magnetized for ease of travel, the torso is removable and attached with super magnets, but I’m still in awe of the sheer size of the thing.

I also bought a bunch of other models and I really want to use them, so I’m considering moving the Butcher3/Zerkova2 match-up to my other list, which is basically just moving Orin Midwinter over there, which frees up some points.

Denghra, the Soul Weaver
– Helldiver
– Helldiver
– Helldiver
– Helldiver
– Ripjaw
Cylena Raefyll & Nyss Hunters (Cylena and 9 Grunts)
The Withershadow Combine
Gorman di Wulfe
Ogrun Bokur
Soul Trapper (2)
Soul Trapper (2)
Swamp Gobber River Raiders (3)
Skarlock Thrall
Wrong Eye
– Snapjaw
I found the Devil’s Shadow Mutineers to be more of a soul sucking problem than expected. They were really bloody good as always, but I did find myself needing the souls they removed. I also found myself needing an Arc Node, and some more punch against the Stormwall. With three weeks to go I’ve got plenty of time to tweak the list, but as usual I’m having trouble with a partner for the list.

  1. Are you saying that your Ripjaw is your “more punch against the Stormwall?” Even with Mortality (and Rust mayhaps) can the little guy really get anything done there?

    • Arcane shielded Stormwall with Rust, Dark Shroud, and Mortality, vs. four fully loaded Helldivers = 60-64 damage. I’m unlikely to win the threat range dance with Snapjaw Vs. Stormwall, but I might be able to destroy it in return when he nukes it.

The Ripjaw is just there because he’s on the Un-Mothballing list :D

      • Oh man, Ragman, you are absolutely a better player than myself. Only place I’ve gotten use out of Ragman is in a Bart list where all he has to do is hump a Galleon’s leg the whole game. Sac’ing to Snapjaw means shrugging off most POW10s on the advance, naturally, but how are you planning on getting Death Field to the other side of the Covering Fire? Are we using Denny’s beautiful massive model to bridge the gap or are we just keeping Rags off to the flanks hoping to walk around them? Sorry to play Devil’s Advocate here.

        • Yup, getting in there with Deneghra is the plan, swinging a few times but camping enough to survive. If the dice tank I lose, but that’s still pretty good odds. I’ll have to keep her way back though, which should either force Haley into the Helldivers or allow Deneghra to charge in.

  2. I’ll say the boring pSkarre list will be the best pair. It beats Bradigus like hell.

  3. How about gaspy3 as a pair?

Against zerkova2 his feat should be absolute money!

I personally will be playing gaspy3 and denny3 as a pair for the next year or so (or untill I finally cave in and get scaverous).

My gaspy3 will be played in tier 3 with a sepulchers ( I posted the list on the Cryx forums in my WTC thread if you want tocheck it out, it has some super swanky, janky pistol wraith assassination tech, thus making my gaspy list the ONLY one that can use the pistol wraith effectively post-nerf!

  4. Okay, Figaro’s here, and it’s time, yet again, to make a speech about how Mortenebra can be shoehorned into this.

Just kidding, her Butcher3 matchup is terrible and she doesn’t like Sorscha’s 18 or eZerkova either. I think your other list needs a good amount of dude spam, and if you want to stay in ADR I feel like Shade3 is the way to go
