Preparations for Lund Emancipation

In the beginning of march, three brave Danes will travel to the frozen plains of Sweden to regain their honor. The tournament has forty players so far, which in the frozen tundras of Northern Europe is pretty darn big, but a five round tournament with forty players also means tie-breakers.

GPS says it’s right here!

Tie breakers mean I’ll need some control points, but since Neldar has been kind enough to grab some Bane Riders for yours truly, I’m going to assume that they’ll be here in time and put them in my Deneghra2 list, which then ends up looking like this.

Wraith Witch Deneghra
– Deathripper
– Deathripper
– Deathjack
Bane Rider (Leader and 4 Grunts)
Cylena Raefyll & Nyss Hunters (Cylena and 9 Grunts)
The Withershadow Combine
Pistol Wraith
Pistol Wraith
Skarlock Thrall
Warwitch Siren

This is not a list I’ve played extensively, but the few times I’ve had it on the table I’ve been happy with it. It lacks some movement shenanigans like Darragh Wrathe, and the raw power of Bane Thralls, but so far the combination of weapon masters and the Deathjack have gotten the job done. That takes care of the first list but what the hell am I going to do with the second!

The last couple of months I’ve been running Asphyxious1, and I’ve been happy with him and doing well enough, but I’m not sure his melee centered approach and my weird list will do me any favors in a major tournament, because my performance usually drops drastically during games two and three in a day, and my current Asphyxious1 list requires adaptation and inspiration to win. I’m sure Goreshade3 will be my second list when he’s released, but until then I have to figure something out… maybe a Deneghra1 cavalry list like I originally planned.

  1. EDenny without Snapjaw? You sir shame me.
Try pairing EDenny with Gaspy1, Venny, or Terminus
    Or conversely
    Pair Edenny with Skarre+ Kraken
    Or
    Eskarre control

  2. I would be impressed if you all ended up playing in the location shown. That would make for a very interesting documentary. Does it count as a win when your opponent’s feet give out due to frostburn?

  3. I am also a bit jealous you have the option to run both versions of a caster.

  4. Skåne hasnt seen that much snow ever. The sediment of rotten leaves is what counts as snow in the south of sweden. Its brown and deceptivly slick when youre in a hurry.
