Where to go from here?

I answered a forumites question about my revised view on Circle, now that I had stopped crying about it and started winning, and in the process of answering I came to another problematic conclusion: I still feel the same way about Circle, and I hate it.

Living without Primal: Theory

Next game will be my 20th game with Circle, and while I was told that the learning curve of this faction was steep I completely underestimated how much it would take to climb this particular mountain.

pKrueger Vs. eButcher

This time I’ll try out a new format. It may turn out to be to much work but I hope not. I’ll try and go about this more methodically and get more into why I did what I did, what I did wrong, and what I probably should have done instead.

Once more into the breach

Since I now feel comfortable putting down Kromac I’ll return to the man that haunts my dreams and sours my existence! Fielding pKrueger has so far been a miserable experience, but I’ve been thinking that I might be using to much infantry with him so I’ll kick my comfort zone in the face and go all in on beasts.

Kromac Vs. Jarl Skuld (50 points)

I met up with Jan who recently took up Trollbloods for another game of “what the hell are we doing”, though I’m taking it a step up from Mondays game since Jan is a scary opponent.

Kromac Vs. pMorghuol (50 points)

This won’t be real battle reports because the games were far to short for that. I met up with Paul who recently began a Skorne project, and since I have very few games against Skorne, and he has about the same number of games against Circle, we decided we would slug it out a bit and learn something.

Know your enemy: eHaley

I enjoyed writing the Harbinger article so much that I’ve decided to do one on the most annoying caster in the game: Major ‘Pain in the ass’ Haley. Despite the judgment of Internet Wisdom eHaley isn’t the most powerful caster in the game, but she’s a top tier caster and certainly one of the most annoying of them all to play against.

Kromac und katzenjammer

After a couple of fantastic games at the masters one thing has become clear: Kromac agrees with me. Playing Kromac is like being on drugs when compared to my experiences with the other Circle casters, and the amount of tricks I can pull with Warpath is downright staggering when combined with Shifting Stones and Power attacks.

Are you that guy?

That Guy is a commonly accepted member of almost any gathering of people, and nerd gatherings are no different: The most annoying person at a social outing or gathering. There’s always someone who doesn’t quite get it, and even though these guys can be great people in most situations some things put them in “TGM” (That Guy Mode) and they often don’t realize it themselves.

Danish Masters 2012 Cont.

Continuing from part 1. In the final game of the first day I had the misfortune to be involved in the only mistake made in the entire weekend, as a game had been incorrectly entered and I ended up playing against Jan D’Souza and his Cryx instead of the opponent I was supposed to face. Jan is a very skilled player and I would give him a 50/50 chance of taking me down, even if I was running my optimized Cryx lists (assuming neither of us had bad match-ups), and now I was facing him with Circle.
