The favorable termination of endeavors!

I’m done! I now have two working Circle lists all painted up and ready to go. I’m going to bed so pictures will have to wait but these are the final lists and all I had to borrow was a Feralgeist and the card for my Reeve Hunter since that’s gone missing.

Kromac the Ravenous
– Gorax
– Feral Warpwolf
– Ghetorix
– Warpwolf Stalker
Shifting Stones
Stone keeper
Shifting Stones
Stoneward and 5 Woldstalkers
Stoneward and 5 Woldstalkers
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt)
Druid Wilder
Gallows Grove
Gallows Grove

Reinforcements: Shadowhorn, Reeve Hunter, and Gallows Grove.

This list will engage balanced armies and try it’s best against Warjack heavy lists. It will probably do well against most Cryx lists and all lists that are mainly melee should be in real trouble here. The Shadowhorn is a serious surprise in flank scenarios and the presence of such potential on the flank should cause some headaches. If all goes well the Shadowhorn threatens 19.5″ from the table edge with MAT 8, boosted attack rolls, ands five attacks at PS 15-16 which means that either that area is off limits to the enemy caster or the game ends for half of them.

Krueger the Stormwrath
– Gorax
– Feral Warpwolf
– Megalith
– Warpwolf Stalker
Cylena Raefyll & Nyss Hunters (Cylena and 5 Grunts)
Shifting Stones
– Stone keeper
Swamp Gobber Bellows Crew (Leader and 1 Grunt)
Tharn Bloodweavers (Leader and 5 Grunts)
Druid Wilder
Gallows Grove
Gallows Grove
Gallows Grove

Reinforcements: Feral Warpwolf and Feralgeist.

This is supposed to handle heavy shooting and massed infantry. The list has fewer tricks and doesn’t hit as hard as Kromacs list but should be able to handle beast heavy lists due to the presence of the Bloodweavers and Nyss. The Feral Warpwolf is insanely fast with pKrueger and should also be able to mess up whole units if used right. This will take the field if the WG Deathstar shows up which it will with seven or so Khador players, and since I’m expecting a lot of shooty Cygnar this will probably end up being my main list though it was never intended to be.

I’m hoping I can get to play Kromac a few times but so far all I’ve heard is pSkarre/eSkarre, Siege/Darius, pIrusk/pSorscha, Rahn/Garryth, Mortenebra/Coven, and in all of those games I’ll be forced to pick pKrueger because one of their lists is a difficult game with Kromac. It’s nice to be able to play pKrueger though since he’s what drew me to Circle in the first place, and since I’m not expecting to win much anyway it’s all good (and the pKrueger model looks amazing with my current scheme).

Now I need some sleep because my foot is still killing me and it will be a long day tomorrow. I’ve bought slippers and I’ve been promised access to a chair, so it will be grandpa Lamoron fielding his Circle soldiers tomorrow!

  1. Very short update. Two losses and one win. No control points. I lost both games I should have won and won the one I should have lost. The first game was lost to poor dice and eHaley was left on three boxes when the average was -5.

The second game was won when Ghetorix killed blessing of vengeance and used his wreck to warpath his way down to one-shot severius. The final game was lost fair and square against a Cryx player I consider on my level, and it was a close game which I consider a moral victory. :)

  2. Well, I won the fourth game and got a “bye” in the final one, so I finished with a 2-2 score but a 3-2 result and 14th place. I’ll try for some real reports tomorrow but I’m more than happy with the results.
