Black Ogrun Conversion: Part 3

I got the sword on the test model and it looks fine (sort of like a soul draining saber). I really want these guys to feel like dark and brutal scourges of the sea instead of cartoon pirates and they’re getting there.

I also got a little work done on my Terminus conversion (the one I’m actually hoping to one day field) but there’s a long way to go there.

  1. The boarding party looks promising. I have the same problems with the original model. I think it looks kinda dumb and too comical somehow. It’s a shame that you have to go through all this trouble to be able to put some tournament legal models on the table that you actually think looks good. Just owning a model that looks stupid feels lame if it’s something that you use all the time because of good rules /:

  2. I feel the original model is just to skinny and looks a bit weak so I have been using bits of warspears and warhammer ogres to try and bulk them up a bit.

  3. Apologies for the ridiculous necro post, but I’m a cryxian so it’s kinda my thing. Did you have any finished photos of your converted Black Ogrun? I’m going through something similar converting them from warspears and curious how yours ended up.
